During Red Ribbon Week, we reflect on the fact that living drug-free is about making choices that help us grow, learn, and thrive. Substance abuse can harm the brain, slow learning, and negatively impact relationships.

Be sure to choose hobbies and friendships that lift you up and keep you motivated! ❤️🙌

Unity Day reminds us that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. If you see bullying, tell a teacher or trusted adult—and show kindness to those who need it most.

Together, we can maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all! 🧡✨

Consistent attendance matters! 📚

Chronic absenteeism isn’t just missing school—it’s missing out on learning. Students who are chronically absent are more likely to experience lower academic performance, higher dropout rates, and long-term disengagement.

Let’s work together to help our students show up, stay engaged, and succeed. Every day counts! 💪🎒

🌟 Key Club Trashcan Beautification Project 🌟

Our Key Club students are stepping up to keep our campus looking its best! 🗑🐾

During upcoming sporting events, keep an eye out for our newly decorated trash cans around the stadium. Students have transformed them with school spirit, fun designs, and creative messages to encourage everyone to “slam dunk” their trash instead of leaving it behind. 🏈🏀🎨

This project is all about promoting pride, cleanliness, and community at our games. A huge thank you to our Key Club members for their time, creativity, and leadership in making a difference!

October is Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. 💙

This month reminds us of the power we each have to make a difference in how we treat one another. A safe, supportive school starts with small actions—like a kind word or a simple smile.

Let’s commit to building a school community where every student feels safe, seen, and supported every day! 🙌

Attendance Matters! ✨📚

Health-related absences are one of the top reasons students miss class—but there are simple ways families can help prevent them:

✅ Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep
✅ Consume nutritious meals to fuel learning
✅ Encourage regular handwashing and healthy habits at home

By supporting healthy routines, families help students attend school consistently and succeed every day!

📚 On Thursday and Friday, Ms. Ambrose’s English 12 DE classes participated in a college admission simulation!

With guidance from Ms. Rush, students acted as enrollment committees who had to evaluate a list of ten candidates, decide which three to accept, and defend their choices. 🎓

The activity gave them a behind-the-scenes look at the college admissions process from the flip side, and sparked thoughtful discussions about what makes an applicant stand out. 🌟
