Belonging means knowing that you are seen, valued, accepted, and an important part of your school community. When students feel connected to the people and places around them, they are better prepared to learn, build positive relationships, and navigate challenges.
Throughout the month, our schools will create opportunities for students to build relationships, include others, contribute to their school community, and recognize what makes each person unique.

On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, our 9th graders worked with Ms. Rush to explore the difference between Community Builders—actions that create respect, belonging, trust, and teamwork—and Community Breakers—actions that can create conflict, exclusion, or negativity. Students worked in teams to discuss and share:
